2. Scheduled School Holidays 2023

Youth Day: 2 Jul (Sun) The following Monday, 3 Jul will be a scheduled school holiday.

Day after National Day: 10 Aug (Thu)

Teachers' Day: 11 Sep (Mon)

Due to the Presidential Election 2023, Teachers' Day has been changed to 11 Sep 2023 from 1 Sep 2023 previously.

Children's Day (for primary schools and primary sections of full schools only): 6 Oct (Fri)

3. PSLE Examination Periods

Parents with kids in Primary School will want to take note of the PSLE examination periods as students in Primary 1 to 5 could be given off from school during these periods.

For the PSLE Marking Exercise, all primary school students will be given the period off.

PSLE Orals: 15 Aug (Tue) - 16 Aug (Wed)

PSLE Listening Comprehension: 15 Sep (Fri)

PSLE Written Examination: 28 Sep (Thu) - 4 Oct (Wed)

PSLE Marking Exercise: 16 Oct (Mon) - 18 Oct (Wed)

4. Public Holidays 2023

New Year's Day: 1 Jan (Sun), Mon 2 Jan will be a public holiday

Chinese New Year: 22-23 Jan (Sun-Mon), Tue 24 Jan will be a public holiday

5. Long weekends and when to take leave

There are six 3-day long weekends in 2023:

• New Year's Day: 31 Dec 2022 - 2 Jan 2023 (Sat-Mon)
• Good Friday: Apr 7-9 (Fri-Sun)
• Labour Day: 29 Apr - 1 May (Sat-Mon)
• Vesak Day: 2-4 Jun (Fri-Sun)
• Deepavali: Nov 11-13 (Sat-Mon)
• Christmas: Dec 23-25 (Sat-Mon)

There will also be one 4-day long weekend for Chinese New Year: Jan 21-24 (Sat-Tue)
