With more than a thousand interactive exhibits across over 20 permanent exhibitions, the Science Centre Singapore holds the largest collection of educational materials devoted to science in Singapore.

The next generation of budding scientists will be inspired by the interactive exhibitions covering diverse fields ranging from 3D printing and astronomy, to agriculture and climate change.

Catch the daily science shows such as the electrifying Tesla Coil demonstration or the Fire Tornado Show.

Step into Singapore's first and only indoor butterfly enclosure at Butterflies Up Close.

Learn about the importance of water and prepare to get wet at the water play area at Waterworks.

The Science Centre also boasts three other main attractions:

  • KidsSTOP - Chidren's science centre catering to children aged 18 months to 8 years old
  • Omni-Theatre - IMAX dome theatre screening movies and planetarium shows
  • Snow City - Singapore's first permanent Indoor snow centre

Witness the electrifying spectacle of a science show like no other with dazzling musical Tesla Coils as its centrepiece.

Did you know that Singapore has one of the highest rates of lightning activity in the world?

When there is a thunderstorm, you can employ the Faraday cage theory and stay safe in a vehicle or building.

At the Energy Titans Show, you'll be able to experience the Faraday cage in an encounter where you can really grasp this amazing phenomenon up close!

Ages: Recommended for ages 5 and up

  • Weekdays: 12pm
  • Weekend, Public & School Holidays: 12pm, 4:30pm

Waterworks Exhibition

Make a splash at the Waterworks Exhibition!

Explore the mesmerizing Water Clock Tower with its anemometer that tracks wind speed, and see if you can figure out how the windsock indicates wind direction.

Want to know how much rain has fallen? Check out the rain gauge which measures rainfall.

And for some added fun, test your wits in the Water Maze and learn all about the significance of water while trying to stay as dry as possible. Unless of course you feel like cooling down with a refreshing dip!
