If you haven't been to the Singapore Air Force Museum in a while, now is the perfect time to plan a trip.
The Museum is now open after an exciting refresh with revamped galleries, immersive exhibits, hands-on games, and all-new experiences.

You’ll get to discover the real stories behind legendary military aircraft, test your skills with RSAF mission games, and see what it takes to defend our skies.
Whether your child dreams of becoming a pilot, you’re a fan of aviation story, or just want to snap a selfie next to a fighter jet, this is the perfect excuse to head down.
Admission is FREE for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents (PRs)!

Organised around the theme “Defending Our Skies”, the indoor galleries walk you through the fascinating journey of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). From its humble beginnings as the Singapore Air Defence Command in 1968 all the way to the air force it is today.

What makes it especially fun for families is that the storytelling doesn't stop at the standard displays and plaques. Interactive games and hands-on activities are woven into every gallery, so there's always something to do alongside something to discover.
Here’s a sneak peek at the zones you’ll explore:
The journey begins with Taking Flight, where authentic artefacts, historical photographs, and significant milestones tell the story of the RSAF's formative years.

The next gallery, New Heights showcases how the RSAF transformed from an airbase-centric force into a highly integrated, mission-focused organisation. Aircraft models, weapons systems, and exhibits chart the force's development through the decades.

One of the most engaging sections is Full Spectrum, which highlights how the RSAF operates across a wide range of missions.
A projection-mapping show brings these operations to life, demonstrating how the RSAF responds during both peacetime and wartime. Visitors can also put themselves in the action through an interactive game that challenges them to defend Singapore's airspace.

Aviation enthusiasts will enjoy the model aircraft display, which traces the evolution of the RSAF's fleet from its earliest aircraft to the advanced platforms currently in service.

At The Viewing Gallery, you'll discover the stories behind the fighter jets, helicopters, and air defence systems that played key roles in the RSAF's growth over the years.
This gallery also offers excellent views of the outdoor aircraft display, giving visitors a unique perspective of the impressive collection waiting outside.

While fighter jets often steal the spotlight, Preserving Peace shines a light on the equally important humanitarian side of the RSAF.

Through exhibits and personal stories, visitors can learn about search and rescue operations, humanitarian assistance missions, and peacekeeping efforts that have helped save lives both in Singapore and abroad.

If there is one thing you absolutely cannot miss, it’s the Immersive Theatre.
This thrilling 5-minute film puts you right inside the cockpit of a fighter jet!

As the RSAF scrambles to protect our skies, your seats actually vibrate to the powerful roar of the jet engines. Paired with a curved screen, it’s a total sensory experience and the closest you and the kids will ever get to living out your Top Gun dreams!

One of the museum's newest additions is Ever Ready, a gallery dedicated to the men and women who serve in the RSAF.

A striking display of uniforms illustrates the many roles required to keep the force operational, reminding visitors that every mission depends on the dedication of countless individuals behind the scenes.

Families will also find plenty of interactive stations here, including aircraft marshalling challenges, mid-air refuelling activities, and other hands-on experiences.

Before leaving, be sure to try the Callsign Generator, which assigns you an RSAF-style callsign based on your personality. It's a hilarious and fun activity for the whole family.

The museum's outdoor gallery remains one of its biggest attractions.

Visitors can get up close to an impressive collection of aircraft and missile systems, ranging from early trainer aircraft to fighter jets and helicopters. Several aircraft are dramatically suspended overhead, making for fantastic photo opportunities.

You can walk right up to many of the exhibits, allowing you to truly appreciate the size and scale of these remarkable machines.

Families with younger children will be excited to discover the museum's brand-new outdoor playground.

Inspired by the RSAF's iconic C-130 Hercules aircraft, the aviation-themed play space encourages little ones to climb, crawl, explore, and imagine themselves embarking on their own airborne adventures.
It's a great spot for children to burn off energy after exploring the galleries and a welcome addition for families visiting with young kids.

To celebrate the reopening, the museum is running a lineup of free activities and crafts during its launch period. Make sure to check these out:
Personality Test: Take a fun quiz to discover which RSAF platform best matches your personality, whether that's a fighter jet, helicopter, UAV, or missile system. Participants will receive a specially designed postcard featuring their result.
Colouring Sheets: Get creative with four exclusive templates featuring heritage aircraft like the UH-1H, Skyhawk, Bloodhound, and Searcher. All materials (including colouring pencils) are provided.
Paper Crafts: Create and bring home your own paper model of a Black Knights fighter jet or an RSAF serviceman.
Instagram Giveaway: Complete all three activities, snap a photo of your completed set, and post it on Instagram tagging @singaporeairforcemuseum (make sure your account is public) to redeem a limited edition SAFM water bottle. It’s limited to the first 50 redemptions per day though, so plan to arrive early!

Whether you’re introducing the kids to Singapore’s military story, letting them tackle the new C-130 playground, or testing their skills in the interactive challenges, the refreshed Air Force Museum makes for a fantastic, budget-friendly family day out.
It’s a wonderful reminder of the dedication it takes to keep our skies safe, wrapped up in a day of high-flying fun.
So grab the family, pack your cameras, and get ready for a weekend adventure!
