CRYBABY Cry Me an Ocean at Singapore Oceanarium

For the first time ever, POP MART's beloved CRYBABY characters have been reimagined as marine animals and brought to life through 11 themed photo zones throughout the Singapore Oceanarium. 

Look out for giant five-metre inflatables, life-sized sculptures, and immersive installations inspired by ocean creatures. 

Highlights include THE ANGLERFISH, THE PUFFERFISH, and a two-metre WHALESHARK sculpture, with more displays tucked throughout the Ocean Wonders gallery, Shark Seas tunnel, and Open Ocean habitat.

Each installation comes with its own CRYBABY story, paired with real facts about the marine animals that inspired it.

Hawksbill Turtle Hatchlings at Singapore Oceanarium

Since May 2026, Eight playful Hawksbill turtle hatchlings have moved into their new home at Singapore Oceanarium! 

In partnership with the National Parks Board, Singapore Oceanarium is helping give these critically endangered turtles a stronger start in life through a special headstarting programme before they are eventually released into the wild.

Life in the ocean can be incredibly tough for these baby turtles, with only 1 in 1,000 to 10,000 surviving into adulthood. That’s why the hatchlings are currently receiving expert care including special diets, veterinary checks, and carefully managed habitats designed to prepare them for life back in the ocean.

Visitors can now spot the young turtles at the Horizontal Migration Zone and learn more about Singapore’s marine conservation efforts and the important work being done to protect Hawksbill turtles.

Ocean in Focus: Apex Predators

Get an exclusive look at the world of sharks in this new guided experience at the Singapore Oceanarium.

Learn how these predators have evolved over millions of years, why they play such an important role in keeping oceans healthy, and what it takes to care for them.

You'll get behind-the-scenes access to the Shark Seas support area, where you can watch how Animal Care Specialists prepare food for the sharks, see the habitat from a different perspective, touch real shark specimens, and even check out the chainmail safety gear used during feeding operations.

If you join the morning session, you'll get to watch the broadcast feeding (feed dispensed directly into the water), while the afternoon session includes target feeding (feeding from a pole). Dive feeding may also take place but the schedule for this varies and is not guaranteed.

Every participant goes home with a programme lanyard, programme credential, shark species identification postcard, and an exclusive Dunkleosteus plush keychain.

Animal Spotlight: Seahorses

Led by the oceanarium’s animal care specialists, you’ll explore selected habitats before stepping into the Seahorse Support Area, a space normally off-limits to visitors. Participants will observe live feeding sessions and see firsthand how these fascinating  creatures are cared for day to day. 

Along the way,  you’ll also discover surprising facts about seahorses, like how male seahorses carry the babies, or how they hunt using a technique that’s oddly stealthy for something so small. There’s a bigger picture too. The programme touches on why seahorses matter to coastal ecosystems and what’s being done to protect them in the wild.

Ocean Dreams Glamping Adventure

Ocean Dreams might just be the most epic sleepover experience in Singapore.

Imagine waking up to manta rays and sharks gliding literally outside your tent!

You'll sleep in a luxury tent (for 4 pax), pitched right next to the Oceanarium's enormous Open Ocean Tank, complete with air mattresses, and amenities like cosy pillows, power points, electric fans, and a snack basket.

Forget the crowds, as an Ocean Dreamer, you get after-hours access to explore the entire Oceanarium in peaceful silence.

You'll also enjoy exclusive guided tours and behind the scenes access to areas normally closed off to the public like the Aquarist's Lab.

We also got a rare chance to watch Manta Rays being fed up close from the top of the Open Ocean Tank.

This all-inclusive experience covers a delicious buffet dinner and breakfast.

Showers are shared but they are comfy, clean, and fully stocked.

At $1,800 per tent, it’s definitely a splurge - but our kids were still talking about it weeks later. Some experiences are just priceless.

There are only 10 Signature Tents per session (and 1 Deluxe Tent for 8 pax at $3,800) with limited sessions available.
