Following a revamp, the Singapore Discovery Centre reopened on 31 October 2020 with a refreshed Permanent Exhibits Gallery, and exciting new attractions such as escape rooms, laser tag, and 4D rides.

Permanent Exhibits Gallery - Through the Lens of Time

Go on an immersive journey all the way from Singapore's beginnings.

Get transported back in time to the early founding of Singapore, experience the dark days of the Japanese Occupation in World War Two, and learn about the milestones and key moments in Singapore's developmental journey.

The Singapore stories are recreated and brought to life through the use of technology such as Augmented Reality.

The Early Singapore Story

The exhibition starts with a multimedia visual presentation which tells the story of Singapore from its early founding by Sang Nila Utama, through to its establishment as a British Colonial Port.

Dark Days of the War

Experience what life was like during the dark days of the Japanese Occupation in World War Two.

Walk through bombed out streets and war scenes as the hardships of war are recreated.

Do note that the atmosphere in certain areas here could be a tad dark and eerie, so parents with young kids may want to breeze through these areas.

SAFTI Bus Tour

Hop onto a bus and go on an exclusive tour of the 88-hectare training ground for officers in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

Get a glimpse of the life of an Officer Cadet and learn about the role of the SAF in Singapore's defence and security.

The tour is on a first come first served basis.

Pedal Boat

Rent a pedal boat and go on a scenic ride around the Singapore Discovery Centre's Discovery Lake.

With a five-storey high screen and 344 theatre style seats, this is Singapore's largest flat screen theatre.

The theatre will show the latest movies as well as Singapore story films.

Black Lake Facility

Spread over two storeys and with 4 themed chapters and 13 rooms, Black Lake Facility is the largest 2 storey escape room experience in Singapore.

Crawl through tight spaces, uncover hidden doors, and solve puzzles to get to the secrets behind the facility.

  • Weekdays: 1:30pm-6pm
  • Weekends, Public Holidays, School Holidays: 11am-8pm

Price:

  • Child (Ages 3-12): $24
  • Adult (13 years and above: $30

Duration: 60 minutes

Note: Children under 13 years old are required to be accompanied by an adult.

Black Lake Laser Battlefield

An immersive laser tag arena with seven different types of games such as Elimination Free For All, Standard Team, and Human Flag.

You may encounter aliens and zombies along the way so stay alert!

  • Weekends, Public Holidays, School Holidays: 11am-8pm

Duration: 5-10 minutes depending on game scenario

Price: 

  • Child (Ages 7-12, all players to be 7 years of age and above): $12 per game
