Happening on 1 and 2 May 2026, Navy Day marks the birth of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). It’s a chance to honour the incredible transformation of our naval force from its humble beginnings as a small coastal force, into one of the world’s most respected maritime defense arms.

This year, there will also be a spotlight on the servicewomen and veterans of the RSN who will be sharing their own unique stories and experiences.

Whether you’re a history buff, a family looking for a fun day out, or you have a little “future sailor” at home, here’s your guide to everything happening at this action-packed event.

So batten down the hatches and get ready for a weekend of discovery!
See you at the Singapore Navy Museum!
The museum will be buzzing with activity from 10am-5pm with activities that bring the high seas to life. From mascots to immersive storytelling, there’s something for all ages to look forward to.

Keep an eye out for roving talents dressed in authentic Naval Rig and SWANS uniforms that will transport you back to 1967.

For a more reflective experience, join the Remembrance & Reflection Trail. Pick up a trail card at the Level 1 reception, explore the museum's galleries, and redeem a special keepsake at the end.

An inspiring session where servicewomen and veterans within the RSN share their personal journeys and the evolution of their roles in safeguarding our seas.

Say hello to CPT Simon and his brand-new mystery friend!
These friendly faces will be roving Level 1 for photos, high-fives, and to share the navy spirit.

Get hands-on and recreate the distinguished headwear worn by naval officers of the past. It’s the perfect souvenir for the kids (and adults too!).
For those who love a deeper dive, several curated tours offer rare access and rich historical insights. Note these require a fee and pre-registration.

Take a guided bus ride into the heart of the RSN. This is a rare chance to see the inner workings of a modern naval base up close.

Trace the origins of the RSN all the way back to the Straits Settlement Naval Volunteer Reserve.

Journey through Changi and Johore Battery to uncover the stories of Singapore's pre-war defenses and the Japanese Occupation.
All that exploring is sure to work up an appetite! Head to the carpark area for some nostalgic treats and feel-good vibes.

Step into the "Retro Waves" experience at the carpark for nostalgic music, live streaming, and fun giveaways.

Grab a classic treat from the Potong Ice Cream Van or savoury favourite from O’My Darling by Old Chang Kee.

Catch these talented groups at the museum throughout the weekend:
