Set in a rainforest environment across 26 hectares, the Singapore Zoo is renowned for its 'open concept' where animals live in spacious and landscaped environments simulating that of their natural habitats. It boasts the first free-ranging orangutan habitat in a zoo.

The zoo is home to more than 2,400 animals including white tigers, orangutans, and elephants. 34% are actually threatened animal species.
